Enrollment Fair this Saturday
The District will host an Enrollment and Family Resource Fair this Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Caroline Coleman Stadium. Please join us to learn additional information about enrolling in our schools, the innovative programs we offer, health and wellness services, family resources, job opportunities and more! Families and students will also have an opportunity to win raffle prizes, and participate in fun activities, music, and food! For additional information about the Enrollment and Family Resource Fair, please contact Student Support Services at (310) 419-2700. Make sure you visit the Oak Street School booth. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for our PTA.
PTA Membership Drive
It is that time again to sign up for the Oak Street School PTA. Last year, we registered 245 members, and that was the highest number of memberships in our Local 33 District, Woohoo! PTA is now starting the new membership drive. You have many ways to register. You can stop by our office and pick up an enrollment envelope, also this Saturday you can register in person at the Enrollment Fair, and the easiest way is to register online. Fall School Reopening Survey Option
While we are planning for an in-person return for most of our children, we understand that some families will want an alternative option if a student’s health would be put at risk, as determined by their parent or guardian. The State of California is no longer offering the Distance Learning option. For 2021-22, the alternative option will be called the Independent Study Program.
Please be advised: If you opt to enroll your child in the Independent Studies Program, your child may not be enrolled in their current school.
Your child would be enrolled in the IUSD Independent Studies School. If you select that you would like your student to participate in the Independent Study Program, a written agreement will be made between the student, parent or guardian and the school district. A student/parent/educator conference is required prior to signing the agreement.
Please complete the Independent Study Option for Fall 2021 Opening Form to indicate if your child will participate in the Independent Study Program. If you do not select to participate in the Independent Study Program, your child will automatically be included in the in-person program, and there is nothing else you need to do.
Please submit the form for each of your children who will participate in the Independent Study Program by Friday, July 30, 2021

Feria de inscripción este sábado
El distrito organizará una Feria de inscripción y recursos familiares este sábado 31 de julio de 2021 de 10:00 am a 2:00 pm en el estadio Caroline Coleman. ¡Únase a nosotros para obtener información adicional sobre la inscripción en nuestras escuelas, los programas innovadores que ofrecemos, los servicios de salud y bienestar, recursos familiares, oportunidades laborales y más! ¡Las familias y los estudiantes también tendrán la oportunidad de ganar premios de rifa y participar en actividades divertidas, música y comida! Campaña de Membresía de la PTA
Es el momento de inscribirse nuevamente en la PTA de Oak Street School. El año pasado, registramos 245 miembros, y ese fue el número más alto de membresías en nuestro Distrito Local 33, ¡Woohoo! La PTA está comenzando ahora la nueva campaña de membresía. Tiene muchas formas de registrarse. Puede pasar por nuestra oficina y recoger un sobre de inscripción, también este sábado puede registrarse en persona en la Feria de Inscripción, y la forma más fácil es registrarse en línea. Opción de encuesta de reapertura de la escuela en el otoño
Si bien estamos planeando una devolución en persona para la mayoría de nuestros niños, entendemos que algunas familias querrán una opción alternativa si la salud de un estudiante se pone en riesgo, según lo determine su padre o tutor. El estado de California ya no ofrece la opción de aprendizaje a distancia. Para 2021-22, la opción alternativa se llamará Programa de estudios independientes.
Tenga en cuenta: si opta por inscribir a su hijo en el Programa de Estudios Independientes, es posible que su hijo no esté inscrito en su escuela actual.
Su hijo estaría inscrito en la Escuela de Estudios Independientes del IUSD. Si selecciona que le gustaría que su estudiante participe en el Programa de Estudio Independiente, se hará un acuerdo por escrito entre el estudiante, padre o tutor y el distrito escolar. Se requiere una conferencia entre estudiantes, padres y educadores antes de firmar el acuerdo.
Complete el formulario de apertura de la opción de estudio independiente para el otoño de 2021 para indicar si su hijo participará en el programa de estudio independiente. Si no elige participar en el Programa de estudios independientes, su hijo será incluido automáticamente en el programa en persona y no tendrá que hacer nada más.
Envíe el formulario para cada uno de sus hijos que participarán en el Programa de Estudio Independiente antes del viernes 30 de julio de 2021.Si
